I am a third semester International Policy and Development student specializing in Conflict Resolution and Russian. My area of research focuses on questions of post-Soviet trauma, national identity, human security and the rise of the far right in Eastern Europe–specifically in Russia and Ukraine.

Prior to MIIS, I was an adjunct instructor of film and media studies at Austin College in North Texas where I taught documentary film production, film history and media literacy. Currently, I serve as the videographer and Social Media manager for the Graduate Initiative in Russian Studies here at MIIS.

If you’re interested in exploring documentary filmmaking as a form of storytelling, or just need to incorporate a short video into your class presentation, I am here to help!
